Air Operator Certificate received by Arik Air
Arik air, Nigeria’s largest and fastest growing airline has been the first one to be accepted by Nigerian civil aviation authority (NCAA) for abiding by the new rules and regulations and providing the quality of service as demanded by the government and international industry. The air operator’s certificate was provided by NCAA at its headquarters in Lagos.
At the occasion, the director general of NCAA, Dr. Harold Demuren said that Arik fulfills six of eight requirements as demanded by the federal aviation administration (FAA) of United States of America. Dr. Demuren said: “Few years ago we began seeking the FAA Category One of which there were eight critical safety elements which must be fulfilled. Today, we are closing number six: License and Certification, and according to the program, one of our airlines must meet the new regulations. Today, I am happy to tell you that we are closing this open item, we will be issuing the first Air Operating Certification (AOC) under the new regulation under the recertification exercise.
” The Director General NCAA was happy with the continuously improving performance of the company and hoped that it would soon be one of the famous airlines of the world.
